A must-watch video at One Good Move illustrating the utter utter cluelessness of the FEMA leadership and how out of touch the current Republican talking points are.

And the New York Times gives a strange defense of the picture of George III playing the guitar as Katrina struck New Orleans:
Bloggers also circulated a picture of Mr. Bush playing a guitar at an event in California on Tuesday to imply that he was fiddling while New Orleans drowned. In fact, the picture was taken when the country singer Mark Wills presented Mr. Bush with a guitar backstage at North Island Naval Air Station in Coronado, Calif., after Mr. Bush gave a speech marking the 60th anniversary of the Japanese surrender in World War II.

The words "in fact" suggest that what follows is a defense, or at least a contrast. But all it is is description, a description that in fact confirms the original interpretation given by "bloggers". The fact that the NYT goes so far out of its way to defend Bush, is simply more evidence of how far to the right it has moved in its efforts to suck up to power.
