"I don't think anyone anticipated the breach of the levees." George III

But even Mr. Bill knew.

And Mike Brown, the head of FEMA, apparently was totally unqualified for his job. More

The federal official in charge of the bungled New Orleans rescue was fired from his last private-sector job overseeing horse shows....Brown was forced out of the position after a spate of lawsuits over alleged supervision failures.

His incompetence on display here and here.

And Rep. Wexler urged Bush to fire Brown for incompetence and fraud in January!

But George III continues to sing his praises:
"Brownie, you're doing a heck of a job."

And FEMA is directing donations to Pat Robertson

And only 2 of the 21 charities FEMA urges people to donate to are secular.

And the Red Cross is not allowed into New Orleans.

And Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff can't find his own ass.

And several states ready and willing to send National Guard troops to the rescue in hurricane-ravaged New Orleans didn't get the go-ahead until days after the storm struck.

And the bureaucrats complain that there is too much sympathy for the victims.

And what Jesus has to say about all this.

And what some xian leaders have to say.
“New Orleans now is abortion free. New Orleans now is Mardi Gras free. New Orleans now is free of Southern Decadence and the sodomites, the witchcraft workers, false religion -- it's free of all of those things now," Shanks says. "God simply, I believe, in His mercy purged all of that stuff out of there -- and now we're going to start over again.

And let them eat bibles.

And a response from the White House:
